Future Church Events

ATHERTON IM is an active Church with a varied event calendar. However in supporting God's work in ATHERTON various expenses are incurred and therefore future events are split into 2 separate functions.
The following events are primarily aimed at our Christian brothers and sisters in the township to meet together for fellowship and everyone is welcome.

  GREETINGS

 At this busy period in our lives here is yet another leaflet bringing home the message that Christmas is coming quickly. It only seems a few weeks ago that we were celebrating Christmas last year.

            That is the subject of this little leaflet to invite you to share with us over this Advent period some of the joy and the peace that that first Christmas 2000 years ago brought to Mary and Joseph, to the shepherds and eventually throughout the world.

            Hopefully you can tell that we run a varied list of activities and during each week we have Ladies meetings on Monday night where recently they have visited the mayor at Wigan Town Hall and held Craft nights as well as the monthly devotional meetings. The men meet occasionally on Tuesday evenings for various events and the Choir are always practising hard on Wednesday evenings. Both the older and younger ends meet during Thursdays the afternoon being Thursday Fellowship and Thursday Evening being Youth Clubs night.

            The one thing that we can do well at this Church is to give anyone a warm welcome. I hope that you will take us up on that challenge during the next few weeks and we would love you to attend some of our activities.
