On a rainy Saturday morning the hardy members of the Youth Club and Church set out for the High Legh Conference centre in rural Cheshire. However by the time we arrived and had eaten our packed lunches the wind had dried the field and the sun was trying to peep out from the clouds.

Here you can see us just setting out the course for our first events of the afternoon an outdoor sports day with egg and spoon, walking backwards, sack race and balancing bean bags on our heads. Those without hair found this much easier than the rest!!
The next picture shows people relaxing after lunch
During the afternoon there was a time of craft activity for the children seen here
designing flags for their team
WHILST
some other people had a rest and we had only been
there for 2 hours at this point

Later we all went to visit the ice cream farm and here you can see the children enjoying themselves. We also had our own personal ice-cream waiter and part time choirmaster but for some people seen here making notes from the tablecloth the day might have been too much! However everyone enjoyed themselves and all said they want to do it again. Sorry the children said that .....I am not so sure about the adults!! I perhaps think that hot baths and Radox are are called for.
